Mary Reading was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. In her adult years, she has primarily lived in the Southeast, initiated by her decision to attend Auburn University for her B.A. in Psychology. After working in Hong Kong with undergraduate and graduate students around leadership development and vocation clarification, Mary moved to Atlanta for her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Richmont Graduate University. She went on to work at a thriving group practice where she was able to further develop as a leader and hone strong clinical skills as a therapist.

Mary Reading moved to Montgomery in 2016 where she lives with her dear Husband, Andy. She set up Belfry as a way to use her skillsets, serve people, and see positive change take place in this community. She has been approved as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Alabama, and she is currently a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT).
